Books Read in May 2025

A few words from a Guardian article on the value of fiction, and then a peek at my reading journal pages from May. A few mysteries, a couple of memoirs, some nature-writing, and some literary fiction. We’ll travel to England, Ireland, Long Island, Denmark, the Eastern Townships of Quebec, and the southern US, and experience courtship, romance, love, racism, loneliness, and friendship, while living through different ages and by different values in a variety of circumstances.
